Frequently Asked Questions

How should I prepare for my visit?

Given the nature of our operation as a mobile chiropractic clinic, all times (mentioned below) are considered to be an approximation. Variables such as finding a comfortable place within your home, setup/breakdown of treatment equipment, and payment processing all add to the clock. This time is planned for and is not considered a portion of your treatment time unless you have not prepared for the visit where time must be spent cleaning up an area or rearranging furniture to accomodate our equipment. In an effort to avoid this issue, it is strongly recommended that you have prepared an 8 foot by 8 foot area, on the first level of your home for treatment, prior to arrival.

While we love our furry four-legged friends, we ask that you please keep your pets in a separate room at arrival and during treatment to avoid interruptions during your visit.

How long does it take?

Your initial exam visit is between 45-60 minutes, there is variability depending upon case complexity. This includes a review of health history, comprehensive examination, review of findings outlining your custom treatment plan, and treatment. For more information about becoming a new patient with Drive Chiropractic, please visit out New Patient section.

After your initial visit, single visits are approximately 30 minutes long. This includes a review/update of your condition where we discuss progress since your last visit, chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue work, and exercise therapy.

TPI Physical Screens, for the avid golfer looking to improve their game by addressing biomechanical limitations, are considered separate from your initial visit. This add-on exam can take between 15-30 minutes where we perform the screen, discuss the findings, and create a plan to tackle these issues. The TPI physical screen is booked as an addition to your single visit.

What does it cost?

A fee is applied to single visits where travel* (one-way) is greater than 5 miles from our home base; which we consider to be Crystal Beach Plaza (at the corner of Alternate US-19 and Alderman Road).

Travel fee is not applied to new patient visits unless you are more than 15 miles from our home base in which a $25 travel fee is applied.

*Travel distance is calculated using the shortest route, by road, to your location.

Do you take insurance?

We are a cash-based chiropractic service, meaning we are considered Out-of-Network and patients pay directly for chiropractic services without involving insurance companies.

This allows us to spend more time with each patient, providing thorough, individualized treatment without the constraints of insurance reimbursement rates or requirements. It also gives our patients more freedom in choosing the frequency and type of treatments without restrictions imposed by insurance coverage limits or pre-authorization. By not billing insurance companies directly, we simplify the process, reduce administrative overhead, and focus entirely on delivering personalized care.

While we do not bill insurance companies directly, we are happy to provide a superbill upon request, which you may submit to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement.

Please note that due to federal regulations specific to cashed-based chiropractic services, we are unable to provide care for Medicare-eligible patients, even on a self-pay basis. We sincerely regret any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.
